What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form or manual medicine that focuses on restoring an imbalance within the body. One of the main principles of osteopathy is that the body is viewed in its entirety and that the self-healing capacity of the body is being stimulated.
Health problems
If a bodypart is not flexible and mobile, liquids can not freely flow. Some body parts are not well nurtured and waste is not adequately removed. This can cause complaints. Osteopathy aims to find the cause of such complaints.
Treatments, methods and pricing
At the first appointment Maarten de Vugt discusses your personal situation. Then he examines your body with regard to movement limitations, the possible cause of your symptoms. By careful palpation he restores suppleness and flexibility of the different body parts in order to improve the ‘fluid circulation’ in the body. This should allow the body to recover.
